Welcome to A Cause Greater.

Over the course of my career working alongside nonprofit leaders, several themes have consistently come up in our conversations. My intention for this blog is to dive into these themes and produce concise posts that are both meaningful and actionable for nonprofit leadership.

I hope that you find value in this content and become a return reader. If you have questions or comments for me along the way, please use the comments area below.

WHY ‘A CAUSE GREATER’?

Facebook quote imagev2-2.png

I’ve chosen the name of this blog, A Cause Greater, because being a part of a cause greater than myself is important to me, both personally and professionally.

Really isn’t this one of the most inspiring aspects of our humanity? We recognize that there is incredible need in our world. Whether the need is far away or around the corner, inside each of us exists an innate desire to help. We are called to causes greater than ourselves.

When a donor gives to a cause—whether it be through time, talent or treasure—they are expressing their desire to be part of something greater than themselves. They’re saying that this cause matters to them, it is important, and they want to be part of it. It’s a very personal and powerful thing.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Through this platform, I plan to post once a month and will explore topics including:

  • Donor and organizational development
  • Authentic relationship building
  • Strategic planning
  • Governance, and more

Again, your comments and questions are welcome using the comments area below. If you’d like to connect with me more directly, you can reach me at (877) 771-3330, ext. 15.
